Definition
Recertification is the annual, recorded confirmation that the organization’s system is current: once a year, the team stands back from the continuous rhythm and re-commits to the whole — completed in the workspace, with the date on the record.
Jigsaw tracks the date. Recertification is due every year, and a recertification more than a year overdue suspends the organization’s rating until it is completed.
Why This Matters
The continuous rhythm keeps the parts working — monitoring, reviews, meetings, flags. Recertification is the yearly moment the organization stands behind the whole: the system as it exists today, re-confirmed by the people running it, on a date anyone can be shown. For boards, insurers, and umbrella organizations, it is the annual heartbeat on top of the continuous one.
