The power of the platform

ERM, a living system, and facilitation let one organization manage its own uncertainty. The platform is what lets organizations learn from each other. It is how protection improves faster than any one organization could manage alone.

Why organizations currently manage this risk in the dark

Organizations managing this risk take it seriously: policies are written, checks run, training delivered, and incidents reviewed. And most still wonder whether they’re doing enough, because nothing tells them. Their field of view is too limited; they can’t see how their risks compare elsewhere, what’s working for others, or whether a control they rely on has quietly failed somewhere else.

That isn’t anyone’s fault. The knowledge has never existed, because nobody had a way to produce it. Each organization’s experience stayed inside that organization, and the field learned only from the cases that reached a courtroom.

What the platform does

Every organization on Jigsaw runs its own protection system for its own reasons. The work leaves a record: which risk zones were identified, which controls were built, which worked and what drifted, which concerns were raised, and how they were resolved.

The platform draws on that record in two ways.

The SAM Risk Body of Knowledge. The field’s definitions, principles, and practices, published openly and built into the system so that every element a team works on comes with the field’s knowledge behind it. It grows from what organizations on the platform learn.

Anonymized analysis across organizations. Data is de-identified before it leaves the platform: no organization, person, or incident can be identified, and the analysis environment never has access to the production system. From that data, aggregated findings show where risk concentrates, which controls work, and where attention is needed, and those findings go back to every organization via the Body of Knowledge.

We are building this in stages. The anonymization and data capture are in place now. Cross-organization analysis begins when we have enough data to produce sound findings. We will say on this page when each stage is complete.

What you get, and what you give

Today, organizations share information about sexual abuse risk in one direction. Insurers get application forms and return a quote. Regulators get compliance reports and return approval. Consultants get a description of your practices and return advice. Each exchange takes your effort and returns a single output.

The platform multiplies the exchange. What you contribute, anonymized, becomes part of what the field knows, and what the field knows comes back to you as the knowledge built into your own system. You give once and keep learning.

For networks

For a governing body, a franchisor, a pool, or an insurer, the platform is also how the organizations they oversee or cover become one learning system. Anonymized analysis across a network shows where risk concentrates, which controls are working, and where attention is needed, shared with the center to take back to its members as guidance from organizations like theirs. It is a value only the network can generate, and only its center can deliver.

Nobody manages this risk in the dark

That is the platform’s purpose. One organization learns from its own worst week. Connected, organizations learn from each other every week.

The other three foundations

The platform multiplies what ERM, the living system, and facilitation produce inside one organization. Each changes what the others can do.
