SAM

Definition

SAM stands for sexual abuse and misconduct — the sexual (as distinct from physical or emotional) abuse of minors and vulnerable adults, together with the misconduct around it. Abuse is the act itself; misconduct is the wider set of boundary and behavior violations that precede and surround it — the things behavior requirements and expectations exist to catch early.

SAM is the term the insurance market and much of the field use for this risk, and the term this body of knowledge is named for: SAM risk is the risk the Jigsaw system manages.
